Message from the Principal
Dear Wagner Families and Community Members:
At Samuel L. Wagner Middle School we are committed to providing educational experiences which challenge students to achieve individual success. We welcome you to be a part of this exciting time when students value new academic endeavors, collaborative groups, plenty of physical activity and time with peers as building blocks for their academic and developmental pursuits. We seek to create an environment at Wagner that values character and the growth of personal identity. We celebrate and foster Wagner Pride through the values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Compassion. Join us for a partnership between home, school and community as we strive to promote positive academic achievement and social milestones among our student body.
During the 2016-17 school year, students in grade 7 & 8 will be asked to take an anonymous health survey. The data from this survey is used at school, county and state levels. It supports grant funding, assessment of student needs, and the design and evaluation of programs. Families will receive more information on this survey closer to when we will be administering it. Your will have the choice of asking that your child not take this survey. Your child will also have the option of not taking the survey.
At Wagner we are committed to supporting student achievement for our students to ensure they are on the path to success. We are confident that, with the quality instruction delivered by our dedicated teachers, and your support, our students can meet or exceed expectations. Please contact me at anytime if you have questions about our school.
With Wagner Pride,
Richard E. Glencross, Ed. D.
