A Message From Our School Nurse

January 08, 2024

This is the time of year when we tend to see more illness in our school community. If your child has a fever over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, is vomiting or has diarrhea, or has low energy and is not eating, your child should stay home from school. If you are in doubt, call the school and speak with the school nurse. If your child sees a doctor for illness, please let the school nurse know.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19, they are required to be out of school for 5 days and be masked for 5 days after that. Contact the school nurse to determine when your child may return to school and how long they will need to wear a mask.

Below is a link for free COVID-19 test kits. The kits take several weeks to arrive so it is wise to plan ahead.

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child.
