Dear RSU22 Music Parents,
 
Our music students, grades 6-12 (5th grade too for Wagner chorus students), will perform an outdoor “concert” on Wednesday May 26th. Since the students have had very little chance to sing and play all together, this is meant to be a joyful experience for our students. It will resemble more of a dress rehearsal. The students love having you there to support them and share in their joy. For the audience members, it will not be like a concert in the performing arts center. It may be difficult to hear and see from where you are sitting. However, this will be recorded so that you are able to hear it later. The chorus members should be at the multipurpose field at 3:45 and will perform at 4 p.m. Band members should arrive at 4:45 and will perform at 5 p.m. Parking can be a challenge around the multipurpose field. As much as possible plan to park at Hampden Academy and walk around. Also, keep in mind that McGraw and Weatherbee schools have busses and traffic until 3:30 p.m.

 

It is with the help and support of our administration and nurses that we have figured out a way to give our students an audience on May 26th. It is our priority to continue to keep our students safe. Therefore, we will continue to follow the latest state guidelines. In order to do this successfully, we have a very structured plan that we are asking you to adhere to. We must issue tickets that will have your seat number on it. For contact tracing purposes, you must stay in those seats. Audience members will also need to wear masks. We are asking for no more than 4 audience members per student. (Since we are accepting reservations by household for distancing purposes, if your family members are split between 2 households, please stay to the 4 audience members per student.) We will be emailing a Google form to parents. This is how you will make your reservation for seating. That Google form must be filled out by Friday, May 21st at midnight. However, I will remind you that seating is first come, first served so the sooner you turn in your request, the more chance of being where you would like to be. You will then receive an email on Monday, May 24th with your ticket/seat number(s). The Google form should be released by Friday afternoon, May 14th.
